This page walks through all the account configuration options available in your Genius Capital Group client portal. You can update these settings at any time from the Settings page after logging in.

Profile & contact information

You can update your personal details at any time from the Settings page. Navigate to Settings > Profile to edit your name, phone number, and mailing address. Keep your contact information current so your advisor and our team can reach you with important account notifications.

Security settings

Protecting your account is critical given the sensitive financial information it contains. To enable two-factor authentication (2FA), go to Settings > Security and select Enable Authenticator App. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy, then enter the generated code to confirm setup. Once enabled, you’ll be prompted for a code each time you log in. You can also set a security PIN for sensitive actions — such as initiating transfers or changing linked accounts. Navigate to Settings > Security > Set Security PIN and follow the prompts to create a 6-digit PIN.
Enable two-factor authentication to add a critical layer of protection to your account. It only takes a few minutes to set up and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Notification preferences

You can configure how and when Genius Capital Group contacts you by navigating to Settings > Notifications. The following alert types are available:
  • Portfolio updates — receive email or SMS alerts when your portfolio value changes significantly or when positions are rebalanced.
  • Capital application status — get notified by email when your application moves through each review stage.
  • Advisor messages — receive an email or SMS notification whenever your advisor sends you a message through the platform.
Toggle each alert type on or off individually and choose your preferred delivery method — email, SMS, or both.

Linked bank accounts

Linking a bank account allows you to fund your investment account or receive capital disbursements. Genius Capital Group uses Plaid to connect your bank securely. To add a bank account:

Open the Funding section

From your client portal dashboard, navigate to Funding and click Add Account.

Search for your bank

In the Plaid dialog, search for your bank by name and select it from the results.

Log in securely via Plaid

Enter your bank login credentials directly in the Plaid interface. Genius Capital Group does not store or have access to your banking credentials.

Confirm the linked account

After a successful login, select the account you want to link and click Confirm. The account will appear in your Funding section within a few seconds.
Removing a linked bank account while a transfer is pending will cancel that transfer. Confirm that no transfers are in progress before removing an account.
